Mainz, Germany – A large group of patients living with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS) actively participated in a dedicated patient day held in Mainz on Saturday, May 24th. The event provided a valuable platform for patients to connect with researchers and discuss the latest advancements in BBS research.
Attendees were presented with current research findings and engaged in lively discussions about the challenges and opportunities in managing the condition. A key highlight of the day was the distribution of personalized "BBS Immune Passes" to each patient. These passes visually represent the individual distribution of immune cells, a direct result of the genetic mutation causing BBS.

The event underscored the importance of patient involvement in research and fostered a collaborative spirit within the BBS community.
